Каплан и Марти об определенных дескрипциях

Аннотация
Различие между референтным и атрибутивным употреблением определенных дескрипций, проведенное Доннелланом, породило контроверзу семантического и прагматического объяснения специфики референтного употребления. Одно из семантических объяснений было намечено Капланом и детально разработано Марти. В этой теории определенные дескрипции в референтном употреблении уподобляются собственным именам, как они понимаются в теории прямой референции. В статье показано, что эмпирические данные, на которые опирается теория Каплана–Марти, не обеспечивают ей достаточного основания, и поэтому прагматическое объяснение референтного употребления определенных дескрипций является предпочтительным.
